We are paid from the savings we prove.
Three components and one guarantee, set out here in full — because a model you have to extract from a consultant is not a model you should trust.
Discovery fee
One fixed fee at signature, scaled to the spend under review. It buys a finished piece of work: your evidenced baseline, and a sized, dated Value Roadmap of every opportunity we find.
A standalone engagement in its own right — you can stop there. Because it is a complete deliverable rather than a deposit, it is not refundable and sits outside the guarantee.
Delivery fee
Billed through the engagement while our people are executing the approved opportunities.
It is an advance against commission, not a fee in its own right. What you pay here comes off what you pay at the end.
Performance commission
Payable only once savings are validated — by your finance team, against an independent tracker.
Not projected savings. Not run-rate estimates. Money your CFO can see in the accounts.
One cap over all three.
Discovery, delivery and commission together are capped at a published percentage of validated savings, agreed before we start and tapering as the spend under management grows.
However the engagement is packaged, the total you pay can never exceed that cap. There is no configuration of this model in which the fees outrun the result.
The cap and the taper are set against your spend under review and confirmed in writing before any work begins.
You never pay more for delivery than we save you.
Our delivery fees are an advance against commission, not a fee in their own right. When the programme closes, we add up the savings your finance team has signed off. If they come to less than the fees you’ve advanced, we refund the difference. Beyond that, commission is only paid on savings that have been validated.
Discovery stands on its own.
It is one fixed fee for a finished piece of work: your evidenced baseline, and a sized, dated Value Roadmap of every opportunity we find. You can commission it on its own and stop there. Plenty of organisations want to know the number before they decide anything else, and that is a perfectly good reason to start.
Because it is a complete deliverable rather than a deposit, it isn’t refundable and it sits outside the guarantee. The guarantee starts when delivery does, because delivery is the part we control.
How we keep it fair
There are conditions. Here they are, rather than in a schedule you find later.
Savings count once your finance team has signed them off.
If you decide not to pursue an opportunity we agreed was deliverable, it comes out of the target. It isn’t counted as a shortfall.
If something we need from you doesn’t arrive, such as data or access, the savings that depended on it come out of the target in the same way.
The guarantee covers the work we deliver. If you take the findings and deliver them yourselves, it doesn’t apply.
Three rules that make it enforceable
A performance model is only as good as the discipline behind the word “validated”. Ours rests on three rules that do not bend.
Nothing without sign-off
Every opportunity is approved by you before we act on it. Approval is a named, timestamped decision recorded against the line — not something that happens by default while nobody is looking.
Nothing without evidence
A saving counts only once it is confirmed against an uploaded artefact — a signed variation, a supplier proposal, an updated pricing schedule. Never a status changed in a spreadsheet.
Nothing counted twice, or moved
A cost that reappears on another budget line has not been saved. We reconcile against the baseline, so a charge shifted between departments never counts — and the people who delivered a saving are not the people who certify it.

Fees, cap and taper are set against your spend under review and confirmed at Discovery.
Start a DiscoveryDiscovery is a fixed fee, agreed before we start. There’s no commitment beyond it until the scope is agreed.
